A while back I bought a yellow leather/gel seat that's been on my backside so long it's starting to look like my wife.
Now I'm wishing it were black, but I don't want to part with it.
Any ideas on how to color this thing black that won't look like my seat had a fight with a Sharpie marker?
Yellow is a difficult color to disguise.
However, you should be able to paint it black quite successfully with a can of black vinyl coating available at most automotive stores in the paint section. It is typically used to paint automobile interiors.
Bicycle restorers and collectors often use this paint for refurbishing old saddles. DO NOT USE REGULAR ENAMEL OR LAQUER PAINT! Use only Vinyl Coating. Dupli-Color makes a good product for this.
