Next thing ya know they'll be talkin' pneumatic tires and all kinds of nonsense! http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-Antique-1893-Victor-turn-century-bicycle-/170660159216?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27bc235ef0

Just have to raise the seat post another foot or two and it will look like the
new style road bikes.

Those brakes look a pretty "dicey" design.

I'd have to get a new ergo saddle for that thing. It looks SO uncomfortable.

Man they must of had some really tough rearends back then cause that saddle looks like murder. Not to meantion look at all that chain slack. You can't ride fixed like that and no double strap cages on those pedals? What gives?

Not so much a saddle as it is a retention system.

Find 11 more and list them as the bikes used by the Apostles to spread the word.

I wonder what else he's got in his shed? Or do I just suffer from scroungeritis?

I would like to see this one restored.

This could be the new hip, fixed gear, "Electra" riding position... maybe we will see "it" at NAHBS next year... could be all the rage in Portland.

Caught on what? I can think of things it could get caught on and I'd much rather it didn't!

Stop it, you're reminding me of this one. He didn't want to part with it:

Is that even an external bottom bracket to go with that sloping top tube? And those rear drops would be perfect for a "fixie" conversion. Just file off those stupid various brake brackets and you've got yourself a sweet retro bike!

I won it and plan to do a modern 10-speed/brifter conversion on it.
- But what color bar tape should I use? ;)

^ Haha, definitely something neon. Probably pink or green. And don't worry about taking it to a shop to have the rear triangle spread properly. Those old steel frames have no problem going from 110-130mm. :P

When are straight-pull spokes C&V?
