So far I have ridden Schwinn passages and hated them, Michlien Hi-Lite Tours are no longer made, Trek IsoTeks are ok but LBS won't stock them. Rolly Pollys sound great but a bit pricey.
I almost never get flats so belts are not needed.
It helps to use wider tires to support my aerobelly!
I have a IRC Tandem I will try soon but not just yet, yes there are tandems with the same load as I put on a single, hope this is a false statment in October.
So what easy rolling comfortable tires should I look for in the 30 to 35 mm width?

I have a set of the Rivendell RolyPoly tires and I LOVE them! They are the roundest and best cornering clinchers I have ever ridden.

I use expensive Panaracer Pasela and cheaper Vredensteins.
The former 32mm is the same as the latter 28.
Both are smoothe rolling fast tyres.

Yes, I tried MichaelW's suggestion and tried the Pasela's and have been very pleased with them.

I'm currently running Continental TopTouring 2000 (3000 miles) and Avocet Cross K (3900 miles) on my two bikes, both in that size. Both have been flawless, both look like they still have thousands of miles left in them. The Contis are smoother and quieter; the Avocets are better if you plan on hitting much gravel and dirt.

I can also recommend the Specialized Nimbus EX, which is a good slick road/touring/commuting tire.

I have Conti TT 32 on my touring bike, but this is a much heavier duty tyre than a slick one like the Panaracer. More comfortable and better on trails, but noticeably slower.

I do have a set of Top Tourings but in 700x47, they only fit my old Schwinn made for 27s and fenders, $12 a tire!
Also a Michelin Axial Sport sized 700 x 28c but it looks wider than most 28s, greater diameter than the 28mm IsoTec so it wont fit my 594, DURN!! Tryin to find big rubber for the Tempo.

I like Specialized Armadillos, particularly with a steel frame to absorb some of the harshness. I have no direct experience with the 32mm size, but my 28s are serving me very nicely.
