I can get this bike for $120. My last road bike was a Schwinn (1987?) Tempo. Is there anything I should know or avoid about this one? I am anxious to get back on the road but not in a hurry to rush into a bad bike or the wrong bike.

If it is older French, then there are things such as threading issues and some other parts anomolies that might come into play. Otherwise, price is o.k. for the type of bike. Depends upon condition. I assume it fits you? Are the wheels alloy? Can't see the parts very well, but the derailleurs would be another issue. Are they functioning? Are they Simplex or Huret, and what vintage?

Seller says "great shape" so if he is correct and it fits, you can't go too far wrong if you are just looking for a basic rider.

The bike was my size and the derailleurs worked, but I don't know the brand. I think it is sold now, but that's ok because I wasn't totally in love with it or anything. But on my budget I know I can't be too picky haha. I am just looking for a basic rider and I like c&v bikes.
