So in hot anticipation of my $50 Bianchi, I've decided that a Celeste coloured saddle is an absolute necessity.

However, where does one procure such an item (vintage/vintage looking rather than modern) other than ebay?

Does anyone here have one they wish to sell?

Thanks!

i'd say ebay is your best bet - it'll cost more than your bike

:(
Very sad. There isn't even one available at the moment!

Well, white almost always looks good on the celeste Bianchis - imo, sometimes a celeste saddle is a little too much of a good thing. Yellow can look really good too. But that isn't what you are asking for, I guess.

Those ones aren't vintage unfortunately. I'd really like a period correct one. It has a decent looking saddle on it (I don't have it yet) but totally modern.

I'd go for the one shown above by shnibop.
Other than the occasional Turbo, celeste saddles can be pricey.

I do think it will look great on a black Bianchi w/celest lettering.
Add the wrap, and housings if you can find them, plus a bottle cage.
Tires are out there. I just put some on a friends Trofeo.

shnibop's saddle is lovely, I agree. But it's a bit to expensive for me right now. I didn't realize they were so rare!

I definitely want the housing and wrap.

30 miles?!?
Honestly, this is not really a consideration for me!

Personally I would not get hung up on a Celeste saddle. generally I use balck because it is very classic and does not show dirt. I think it is more important to have a comfortable saddle rather than a color coordinated one.

Seems there's a few to choose among on eBay:

but with the expection of this lone turbo they all look very uncomfortable.

I have a similar one I want to use (sorry for the HiJack) how would you suggest I clean it?

I would try using a cream cleanser. In Aus there is one called Jif. Here is Canada it appears to be called Vim. I don't know about the states.

Otherwise try a leather and suede cleaner made for fine shoes.

I'd try a magic eraser on it before anything else... I've had good luck with them on all sorts of strange materials and they are unlikely to leave remnants behind.

Noooooooo! Don't do it! Magic Erasers are, IME strangely abrasive. You might abrade the surface (microscopically) and lose the protective coat and make it more susceptible to grime which will be harder to remove later!

Black is fine.

I've since added Vittoria creme-walls with a celeste stripe before the black face of the tire..

Black looks good on your celeste frame, but i loooove celeste so much. I want as much of it as possible! :)

Some Bianchi's need no celeste at all, even triples.

The bike might not need celeste, but I do, LOL.
