Hello everyone....yes my first post
Anyways...I hope this is the correct location for this. So I have a MTB with 26" wheels and I am looking to replace my tires soon. I need suggestions on tires for strictly pavement. I never use my bicycle off of pavement. I was doing a Critical Mass Ride a couple weeks ago and we were on a area where we were going down hill and we probably hit 30 MPH. My original tires are less then a year old and plenty of tread on them....the problem is they are not suited for this speed. They are nobby MTB tires and the bike was very crazy feeling and dangerous feeling at that speed. I use my bike on roads and commuting so I am looking for something that only does that and nothing else. No dirt unless its on pavement. So I am looking for a narrower tire such as what goes on a hybrid and not so thick as a MTB tire that is safe at 30 or higher speeds. But realisticly I hardly ever get that high when I do ride...its just my tires I have now do not feel safe at that speed
