As a new college bound student, I am looking for a bike. I am wondering if this is a good deal for a bianchi pista!

It's a bit on the pricey side, it's worth $450 at most...
I'll just get a bikesdirect bike through if I were a undergrad.

Apart from the DP18s (heavy) I think it's a cool looking, well done bike. But there are better deals to be had. No way I'd pay 650 for it.
$450 max, and that's including the carbon fork.

Free, Thats including carbon fork. I wouldnt pay 650, I would side with 400-500 though
yeah I would consider $500 the top end of what I'd be willing to pay for it
and i've never owned either but i'm pretty sure that like hamish said the ec70 is 1+1/8th fork and the pista has a 1inch head tube, perhaps he bought the fork as a deal with the seatpost only to later realize the fork was incompatible, either way if you pay 500 and sell the fork to someone who can use it for 100 bones you'd get an ok bike for an alright price, don't go higher than 500 with the fork, or 400 without the fork as it won't do you any good.
