Once or twice a year, one of our illustrious members takes orders--generally spring and fall.

Watch the forum for the next batch.

I have a size large, race cut, that I've worn, what, twice? If you or anyone else wants it, make me an offer!

Race cut????:roflmao2::roflmao2:

Jerseys nowadays come in two styles: race cut and club cut. Race cut (as the name implies) is designed for racers. It fits snug, so there's little or no material flapping around in the wind. It also assumes that you are shaped like a bike racer, so is rather unflattering if what you really wanted was a club cut,

which fits much looser and is more flattering on those who are not shaped like real bike racers.

The other fairly recent innovation in cycling jerseys that you should also be aware of is the full-length zipper. This is mostly a racing thing, but I think recreational riders are starting to become aware of them. If you are watching the Tour de France, you may notice that when the riders hit the high mountains on hot days, they'll have their jerseys completely unzipped, with the sides flapping in the breeze and revealing their bib shorts worn underneath. Racers think this is really cool, and it is, both in style and in actual temperature. But I find that most recreational clubs haven't cottoned on to this yet; they still persist in ordering jerseys with short zippers or 3/4-length zippers, I don't know why. I am going to be riding Paris-Brest-Paris this year, but I will NOT be wearing the official Canadian Randonneur jersey because they have not made it available in a full zip. (The official P-B-P jersey, by the way, DOES have a full zipper! I ordered one.) The other big advantage of the full zipper is that you can take off and put on the jersey WITHOUT having to empty the pockets! Very convenient for bathroom stops when you are wearing bib shorts!

Now you know more than you wanted to know about cycling jerseys. Sorry for being verbose. Oh, by the way, cycling jerseys are constantly evolving. When I first got into this game, cycling jerseys were made of wool in a tube knit (no side seams), and they had five pockets (two in the front)!

Oh, and the 50+ jersey does have a full zipper! It rocks!

I'd probably rip the zipper right off the material if I tried to zip up a race cut jersey around my body.

LOL,,, however I would like to have some sportswear for my new hobby. or interest,, which ever you would want to call it.

Another cool design would be one that says 'Route 66', only because that's where I'm headed and I've got about a year to get there.

Thanks Rideon7, I look forward to it, and I may be interested in it. (Like I said above, don't have a clue as to what a fair offer would be... we'll discuss if I'm more interested in it)

What's your chest size, in inches? 44" is right at the cut-off between L and XL.
