Hello all Well i took people's advice on here and started to use a sport drink. In this case i used some Gaterade, the red stuff powder form into water etc
so i filled up my camelback with water
and have small water bottle on bike with sports drink

i sipped the sports drink through a 110km ride today for the 3 and half hours. or so a few minutes more

as well had small bag of trail mix with me
to which i took the odd bite from before i felt i need energy etc

well end result, it worked totally awesome

as
I was doing same ride just with water and hitting the wall around the 75km mark and arriving home just coasting all famished etc

this time i was able to hold my total energy the whole time and was able to push it well.
so i found the experiment worked
from now on will be using more gator for those long ride?

Gatorade makes me nauseous, and it lasts longer than I am willing to suffer through. I used to drink it, seemingly successfully. I drink water or nuun on the bike, and chocolate milk off of the bike. I'm afraid of too much electrolytes on the bike, I've had one too many bad experiences with that.

+1
I also drink chocolate Spiz on the bike in addition to NUUN and water on very long rides, usually over
300-400k. Original "V8" is another drink of choce at rest stops.

I also carry Hammer electrolytes tablets(just in case).

I carry enduralytes too. I am not sure if they saved me the time I was cramping badly, but along with everything else I ate/drank they got me back on track

I've never had a problem with Endurolytes, but my wife almost collapsed a long time ago from taking salt tabs, barfed and went downhill from there.
