I've been riding for a while, but I'll admit I still dont know a whole lot about mtn biking. Anyways, I ride a 1999 Klein Attitude Race and the stock manitou front shock/fork just took a dump. Im 200 lbs. ride about moderate to hard, lot of xc. Anyways I wanted to know, what specifications i need to look for to know if any particular new shock would fit on my bike, and also what brands/types anyone might recommend for me. Thanks for your help.

Well....XC Klein....I think 80mm should do good. I found a Manitou Skareb plat. on Cambria bike for $400....has SPV too, so it wont bob. It wont void the warrentee on your bike......just search on www.cambriabike.com for Manitou Skareb...
