someone said be careful of too many electrolytes
what are the consequences of too many electrolytes?

in most cases, salt encrusted clothes and gloves, and expensive pee

I'm not exactly sure, so I don't want to spread false info, but I have seen bits and pieces of studies that linked excess electrolytes to impaired bodily functions. I think one was about protein absorption.
I don't think excess electrolytes is such a big deal in endurance athletes during exercise as it would be for a sedentary person, but it could certainly be a waste of money!

With the excess electrolytes like calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus, I believe those will get flushed away. Excess salt can negatively affect blood pressure and tend toward a bad spiral of feeling like your food is undersalted causing you to salt everything more... Excess potassium is processed by the kidneys and flushed away, but some people who have kidney ailments cannot effectively process the excess. YMMV, Talk to a Dr., etc, etc, yadda, yadda. But, in reality, it probably would take a lot of excess over a long time to do harm.

However, your question shows your basic ignorance of the concepts of homeostasis as well well as hydration. In other words, the problem is that when you take "extra" minerals while in a state or exercise stress or dehydration - then you can have issues in successfully excreting or retaining an optimal mineral balance for exercise.
Basic nutrition is the study of nutrients. The most basic of all nutrients is water.
Commenting about mineral supplementation remains clouded by the basic misunderstanding of intra-cellular as well as inter-cellular pressures.
Okay so WTF? What did I just say?
What I said was - whether or not excessive mineral supplementation (electrolytes) is bad for you is largely dependent on whether or not you take the mineral with a lot of water or whether or not you are already well hydrated.
Messing around with mega-supplements of any type can be dangerous if dehydrated.
