Ok so im new here and ive been getting more into road biking with my mountain bike. Im riding a specialized hardrock. I started out with the stock tires that came with it and have been putting 20 miles a day at least 4 days a week on it for the past year now. Other days i will hit the trail. So the tires are at a point where they almost dont hum any more on the road. Looking at getting a set of road tires on it so i can start upping my distance and focus mainly on the road. I am going to get a set of mtn bike tires to swap out when i want to hit the trail. So anyone out there with tip on riding a mountain bike for distance in road work? I want to work up to 50 miles a day or more. Any word on specialized mondos? Ive been leaning more toward the Specialized Borough XC.
I should also put out there that im a big guy weighing in at 260 so that needs to be taken into consideration of my tires. Always joke that im a bear riding a bike.

Welcome to the forums! Sorry I plan on picking up a mountain bike for road but haven't yet, but I'm betting you'll find a forum here that fits your needs.
