Tonite we saw the Movie "Heart Huckabees." I sure read the review wrong..It was pretty weird. but, I liked it...
You had two parallel philosophies of coping with reality. Quite opposite.
Anyone here seen "Huckabee's" yet?
I was of mixed feelings about which reality I agreed more with..Thought movie tried to be pretty heavy. The point seems confused.
But, cycling was a part of both philosophies....Bikes were used as an alternative life style and an answer to petroleum carnage to the planet.
Seems in our lives here at B.F. bikes have a more successful impact upon our lives..Bikes here failed to make things better, I thought..Everyone was pretty messed up....So did bikes fail human kind or not...Liked the scene where the firefighter made it to the fire, yet the firefighters on the hook and ladder truck did not...

No one responded to this yet? that was a sweet movie when it comes to utility cycling.
It was so cool to see lilly tomlin on a bike in her skirt.
Hey, in the movie, bicycling didn't fail humanity — it saved it. Just look at the way it got markie mark a girlfriend and the huckabees girl the meaning of life. He had a sick bike, that Markie Walberg. I dig Schwartz' basket, too.

I saw some good reviews of this movie, but I don't think it got to my corner theater - if it did, it was not there long enough for me to get a chance to see it.

So, a quiz: what "major" movie star has appeared in two "major motion picture films" where his character rides a bike to work - and both characters wear a suit and tie at their jobs?

The fact that this has happened twice stuck in my mind - I tend to think it could not be just "chance" - someone is "sneaking in" a bit of propaganda for the idea of bikes being part of everyday life.

I saw it on an airplane flight a week ago. I didn't think it was too heavy. I'm a cycling urban planner on a metaphysical journey so I found it a very entertaining and comfortable and easy to digest summary of two opposing views of life. Give it a chance and rent it one night.

This had to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen; almost walked out on it five times, especially after the scene in which Jason Schwartzman suckles Jude Law's man teats (or maybe it was the other way around; I'm trying to put that horrific image out of my mind).
