Hi..

Just bought from a friend a KHS aluminum frame (road bike) model AERO TURBO made out of 7005 aluminum (elan).
Is this a good frame? I am interested in light touring.

Is this a good frame?

BTW.. what is the bottom bracket thread?

Thanks!

Alvin

My experience with KHS has been good. They are well made and will stand a lot of abuse. Your frame, I think, is for racing which means the it will handle different under a load of panniers. Quicker steering, shorter wheelbase, but it's been my experience as a tourer that if you want to go somewhere and it's all you've got...DO IT! The BB is English thread. Available anywhere. Be sure to get the correct spindle length. Measure the old one.
