Hey everyone, I want to let you know right off the bat that I am only getting my very first road bike tomorrow morning. And I've never biked before nor do I know how to manage a pike like a "pro".

Can I please have some feedback from people (most prefered century completers) if I have enough time to train for a century?

I am an average person, aged 15, 141 lbs, 5' 11". I have 6 weeks to train for a century (mid agust), this is my training plan :

Week. Mileage.

1. 25

2. 35

3. 45

4. 57

5. 65

Heck, just go for it. It's not like your legs are going to fall off because you didn't train enough. With inadequate preparation, you will be more tired and go slower.

Is that miles per week or per day? If it's per day, then back off some on the last two or three weeks (ride that distance bu every other day, say.)

It may be more obvious when you get your bike and start riding- see if anything hurts, goes numb, or if all is well.

haha I know!! And ya it's miles. My plan is to ride every other day (ie. Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and have a rest day in between (ie. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) and nothing Sunday.

Is that good do you think? Thank you.
