Hi everyone, just got into cycling because my rowing season is over, and the college I'm going to doesn't have any programs, so cycling is now my new sport! I just picked up a beautiful, barely used Felt F60 that I'm very happy about and am already putting tons of miles on! I ride mainly in Key Biscayne and Coconut Grove as they are very bike friendly and will commute on Old Cutler from time to time and get at least 25 miles on the bike a day. This looks to be a fairly expensive sport though , I might need a new wheelset soon and boy do they cost a pretty penny! Computers with cadence are not cheap either and that is definitely what needs to be purchased next to start some workout plans!

Welcome to Bike Forums fellow Floridian! And yes, it can get a bit pricey. :)

Hi, Welcome to the forum, fellow Miami cyclist. Yes. it can be an expensive sport like many sports but depending on your goals and style can be enjoyable and fit your budget. The forums are a good way to research, bounce ideas before dropping too much cash.

I ride to Key Biscayne also, and commute from North Miami to UM in the Gables, where I work . I prefer doing my Broward rides on the weekend, A1A north is fairly bike friendly.
