Beautiful day for a ride in south central Indiana - CIBA ride started at the courthouse in Martinsville.

We left town on a ride named for favorite son Johny Wooden.
Theme of the ride was cemeteries - rode by a bunch of 'em.
SAG was at this one:

A month ago, I was worried that the corn in Indiana wouldn't be knee high by the Fourth of July, but that is no longer a concern.

No connection to today's ride, but it's always time for pie. My wife made a rhubarb/strawberry pie a few weeks ago. I am on record as hating rhubarb pie or anything rhubarb, but this pie was delicious.:D

Thanks for sharing your adventure. I always get a kick out of reading about great rides from other areas of the country.

Your pictures evoke memories of a young boy growing up in Southern Indiana amongst the green cornfields, tiny lakes filled with bluegill, dusty back roads lined by red maples ridden forever on a lemon yellow Schwinn Continental, shell mounds, and a Golden Retriever that never seemed to leave my side……Thanks for the memory spark.

Thanks for parking the bike in such a convenient place for a "Quick" getaway. Didn't help though as by the time I got balance right-I was surrounded.

Looks a good ride and glad to see the corn is finally growing.

But strawberry and Rhubarb is not my favourite- Prefer just plain Rhubarb but my daughter made a Sweet apple and rhubarb last year- that was great.

If the crust is good - and my stoker makes a mean crust - just about any filling can result in a memorable pie.
