Anyone know a good bike fitter in the DFW area and how much do they charge?

I bought my bike from Dallas Bike Works and Boyd did a great job of fitting me. I'm not sure how much he charges because it was free with my bike.

Lots of good fitters in the area, try Boyd at DBW as noted, Craig Fulk at www.dynamicbikefit.com, or pretty much any of the pro-shop type LBS's - Plano, Richardson etc.

My stock advice: the fitter and the fitting system can only get you to a good start - your knowledge of your body, your sensations, your own research and understanding of the how and why of fitting is the critical piece to go from an "ok" fit to "the right fit"

I've never been fitted, so can't speak from experience.

A year or two back in a similar post, the predominant answer was the RBM store in Frisco, with a particular guy doing the fitting.

One of the ladies I ride with just got fitted at Knobbies and Slicks, 8300 Precinct Rd., Colleyville, TX, she thinks that store is great. She's done a LOT of riding, so that recommendation is meaningful.

One of the ladies I ride with has some pro fitter down in Tyler that she works with.

Two or three of the very-experienced guys I ride with don't use a fitter, they just know how everything is supposed to be, etc.

Odds are that's John Cobb (Cobb Cycling). He's a pioneer in the field of cycling aerodynamics and came to fame with his work for LeMond. If you want a fitting for a TT bike there's nowhere better.
