I have removed my front brakes there are still 2 studs on the forks do these screw out or are they welded on would like to remove them

if you're talking about you 990 mounts.. like there is threading inside of two posts that stick out of the front and you uncrewed bolts from them to remove your brakes, yes they are welded there. They aren't a problem to just leave there.

You could always take an angle grinder and cut them off. But thats only if you really hate having them there. And if you do dont cut down to the weld just the post that the brakes go on. You cut to low you will ruin the stability of your forks then bend them.
