I am wanting to do the Florida Safari this year and wondering if anyone has done it before?? I went to the web site but was not very informative, could anyone give me more info on and ideas on equipment to bring and what not to bring..

Yeah, the food is GREAT. There are rolling hills, but no major grades. The area is fairly remote, lots of empty roads.

You can bring a lot of gear for the first 3 days as your car will be there with you. When the camp moves, you will be limited to the traditional 2 bags which you load on a truck.

It's often cool in the spring. Dress accordingly.

Definitely worth the trip. We travel about 6 hours from Boca Raton Florida each year and it is a blast. There are cyclists from around the US who by spring are anxious to get it going.

Motels are scarce, I would go to The Best Western as it is in a remote part of Northern Florida which is part of the charm.
