Hydrochlorothiazide, often used in the treatment of hypertension and congestive heart failure, removes excess fluid from the body and reduces urine output.

Is this a masking agent or something? Hard to imagine any performance benefit from reduced urine output.

It can be used as a masking agent.

Poor Andre Tchmil was so jazzed about his All-Russki team too.

To his credit, he took himself out of the race following the test results. I also read that his team contract specifies that he would be automatically fired and have to pay a fine that equals 5 times his yearly salary, if his B sample also tests positive.

That's a very harsh anti-doping policy, but I like it.
