Cyclocross - Campy BB

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I was wondering if Campy BBs hold up well for CX. from what I have heard is that the tend to wear out quicker and i was wondering if that is true.

it is. part of the problem is the square taper. i also find that the seals are not quite up to the rigours of cyclo-cross.

What does the square taper have to do with it?
I have that same question. Ive been using square taper on my mountain bike for about 2 years now and havent had a problem with it. Some one Please explain.
mmmm, yes, square tapers are still in use by MANY crossers and before anything else was around, EVERYONE used square tapers with no problems. My BB would be the least of any concerns on a cross bike, even a Campy one.
