I managed to rip the threads off the rebound damper on my '03 Axel Elite. Manitou says they do not stock the part anymore. Can anyone point me to a source for old suspension parts?
Alternatively, I'm thinking about going caveman on it. If I cut back the plastic insert in the bottom far enough and tap the aluminum out to 10mm or so, I should be able to insert a bolt through the bottom of the fork leg and be on my way. I would lose the adjustable rebound dampening (I'm planning to leave the adjustment in the middle), but that beats the heck out of dropping $300 on a new fork.
