I am going to check out this bike on Monday. Can someone tell me what its worth? I dont want to overpay. The seller is asking $225.00 from Los Angeles. It has a Sugino Crank, no dents, no rust.

Seems high. I probably wouldn't pay more than $100 for a LeTour, and that's if it's mint.

That is nice...$200.
No. Bike is on the dirty side actually. Has some scrapes, probably needs some maintenance on cables, housings, and bearings. $150 if the paint was perfect, but its not. High ten steel frame.

The bike was pretty scratched, and had rust inside the tube where the seat goes. He said he would let it go for $200.00 which i respectfully declined. 14 days hunting and nada! smh.

SD stands for "South Dakota." You'd be coming up, not going down. There are plenty of things worth coming up for, but not so much on Craigslist. :)

Oh, brain fart. Should have known it was South Dakota from "SIOUX Falls".

Jumping the tracks a bit here. I used to travel to Sioux Falls on business. Coldest I've ever been was in Sioux Falls. I flew into MSP and rented a car. I thought it was cold, probably 15 below at the airport. Then I got to Sioux Falls and when I opened the car door, every exposed patch of skin began to hurt. Everywhere there was moisture, it froze, nose, eyes, etc. Unbelievable. Having said that, the rest of the year it is gorgeous, but winter? Not!

And I commute year round!
My wife has family from Florida. They can't fathom why anyone would live up here, so we make sure to tell them all of our extreme weather stories. One of our favorites was the February day it was 50 degrees warmer than the day before - and was still 10 degrees below freezing.
I just figure the cold weather weeds out the riff-raff. :D
