Training & Nutrition - Hac4 Training Graphs

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hello,
I read a great thread on this website about if the Hac4 was awesome or a total piece of crap. Well I got one and think it's pretty dope. If you guys want to see what the graphs look like I have a page where I have all of the graphs from my training rides in the boulder area. Click on the pics of the graph for a full size view.

I've heard of some people having problems figuring out how to use the software. It only took me a couple of hours but I'm a bit of a computer dork. If you get one and have any questions feel free to email me.

Hi,
I'm just a typical middle aged guy. Been riding a few years.
The batteries in my Polar are dead, didn't use it this year. To meet my goals for next year I need to start organising my training again.
So I'm gonna start with a new computer. What I would like is a coach on a handlebar. I have been thining about the Cateye OS1.1 and several others. I could get a HAC4, but it sounds like a bit more than I need, or want to handle. I was wondering if you had any idea of a good choice for me. You seen the Ciclosports that estimate watts?

The Hac4 estimates watts but I don't really use that feature as I'm focusing on heart rate right now. I don't know anything bout the Cateye. You can replace the battery on the Hac4 but I've heard it's a pain in the arse. I find that even without the software download the hac4 is a pretty good stand alone unit for doing intervals, audible beeps for HR zones and stuff like that.
