Hey, there is an ad for what seems like a pretty nice Limongi. It doesn't say in what year it was made. It has 105 components. Seller claims he paid 2k for it when it was new.

He is asking $450 and is open for negotiation. Do you think I should buy it? I'm pretty new to cycling and if I buy it I plan to use it for commuting.

I would also like to rebuild it during the course of the winter, I would like to begin wrenching and it seems like a nice project.

What do you guys think?

Depending on your commute, I prefer one of the vintage steel rigid frame MTBs. Room for fenders and racks, almost indestructible, and available CHEAP!

from the pic it looks like all 105 w/STI so $450 for that would not be too bad. any better pics?

Ah, modern STI. If everything works, it could be worth that price. I couldn't tell from the craptastic pics. BG does a nice job enlarging it.

STI = modern bike which means this is neither classic nor vintage, but instead is a used bike. Nothing wrong with a good used bike of course.

Thank you guys for the info, although in the end, I passed. 450$ is just too much for me at the moment. Too bad because I really liked it.
