Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I posted to get some general information on this bike in the main C&V forum (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php/752328-1965-Rudge-3-Speed) but am interested enough in the machine to ask some additional opinions about the possible fair value.
Here are some pictures and it does look exceptionally clean for the age. Any idea of its worth?

Bump. I'd like to make an offer on this machine, so any information on a fair price would be really appreciated.
Thanks!

Bump. I've got a little more time (just under 24 hours) to pull the trigger on this machine. The guy countered with a firm $200 for the bike. Seem like a fair price? Anyone?
Surely there must be someone out there that has an opinion. After all, this is part of the C&V forums! ;)
It looks like a Raleigh copy. You can get the Raleigh versions in pristine shape for $150. You don't see the Rudge versions as much, that does not make it a nicer bike, just different. I am not a 3 speed expert, but if I was getting one I would probably lean towards something a little different than a Raleigh you see every day.
This one looks to be in original condition right down to the grips and pump but with a few nick to the paint. I would put it in the $125 to $150 range.
Good luck!

Thanks much KOBE! I realize some of the inherent downside to it being more like a run of the mill Raleigh, I may possibly make another counter on it based on your information.
Thanks again!
