Well, I finally got under the 200lb mark :) Down to 196.5 from about 230 or so. Ironically most of it was lost while recovering from a cycling accident, rather than biking itself. I just started eating right and keeping down the calorie intake and here I am. Good luck to you all!

Congrats! And we hope to never see you back here. :thumb: :) Hopefully not! Keeping the weight off will likely be a challenge when winter approaches.

Congrats on the weight loss. Convalescing can easily put pounds on, too. Glad to read that it didn't. Keep in touch, and may you post about continued successes...

Judy.

Congratulations! :thumb: I'm another one who no longer fits the Athena category, but I'm not leaving this forum, because

and this is the friendliest, most supportive group of people I've ever talked with. Stick around! :)

All I really did was eat right. Cut out the sodas and fast food. Stuck to simple stuff like turkey sandwiches/kashi cereal/kashi bars

Ironically, I ride a SS now so most of my time is spent there. I'll pop in ehre to visit though.

I hope someday to be able to post, "Goodbye Clydes!" too.....

- however -

Given my 5' 2"ness, 230 pounds, with 36.2% body fat,
even at 175 pounds I'll still be a Clyde.

It's hard to determine what my ideal weight would be, given my bone & muscle density..... but it sure as HAIL would not be "118 pounds" as listed by universal BMI charts!!! I'm guessing that, hard as I try NOT to lose any lean muscle mass, I'm gonna end up burning some of it off. For some reason, I think I'll be a hard-body 58 year old at 136 pounds..... maybe I'll drop out of the Clydes club when I reach 155 pounds, then take up meth' to get the other 19 pounds off.

Congrats! Hope you can keep it off too. Ah, even if I could get back to my pre-marital weight of 155 pounds, at 6'3" I'm still a Clyde! Though I'd like to get back in the 230-240 range someday...
