Hey guys, I picked up a 2.6fs High Timber Schwinn (Yes I know cheap bike). Put a 26" 7 speed wheelset on it, and after work today is the first test run. I originally posted about this bike in the MB forum, and was told to seek out MUP, the components seem to be in good shape (other then the left grip shifter, not a biggy 20 bucks at REI new for a set r/l ) I'm wondering if there's known issues with this type of bike, and also I plan to shake it down on a nice dirt trail in the back of my place that has no real inclines to speak of to begin with. I've shook down a couple road bikes and 3 speeds, is there anything I'll have to be watching for that I wouldn't notice normally? And any good suggestions for what kind of purpose I should ride this bike for would be appreciated! Thanks much.

Since I know nothing of the kind of bike you´re talking about, I just want to reflect on the fun you seem to have! Pics?

I think that for 5 bucks + the 30 I spent a while back on that wheelset it's gonna be a great hybrid beater.. even if I do spend another 20 to get a new set of shifters for it (the front 3 speed shifter grip is broken).
