If it were the day you posted he would lose time to everyone but Frank and Tommy V. He was hanging on for dear life Saturday. Next week may be a different story, but he was in better form last year and didn't put that much time in AS.

Ac was very ill for last years ITT . I think he will show much stronger this year. And I think he was sitting in along with everyone else for Sundays stage. I would really like to see some courageous riding this week and hope it does not come down to a rainy day ITT. Cadel may be the remaing rival for AC by then.

I doubt he will or would if it were yesterday, gain much time on Cadel. Reviewing recent time trials including Cadel's at this year's Dauphine (which was held on the same course) they would probably be very close to each other. Two years ago when Contador was time trialing very well, that would have been a different outcome. He hasn't time trialed with the best ever since.
In the final time trial last year Contador lost 1:52 to Dennis Menchov. He gained only 8 seconds on Sammuel Sanchez & 31 seconds on Andy. I think he is time trialing better than last year, but he is not challenging riders like Fabian as he did in 2009.

Thomas Voeckler lost only 1:58 to Cadel on the same course in the Dauphine when his time probably really didn't matter. Cadel, Alberto, & the Schleck brothers would probably have to be a lot closer for him to loose the jersey on the ITT. Remember a few years back when everyone thought Cadel would take the jersey from Carlos on the final time trial?

Cadel needs the jersey before the ITT to have a good buffer, or AC might take it. Basso is too back behind. If something like todays happens again tomorrow, then the bros are super dead, the issue now is that the race will be between AC and Evans, their skills in TT are similar eventho cadel never won to AC ever (i believe).
Big chance TV might do well in the TT, he doesnt need to lose more time in the mountains but he know he will, is his chance to grab at least 3rd tho.
