Just remember, you'd have to buy some gold plated Phils to match it - so the final price would be well over $500...

that would be kinda sick... I don't know if it would be sick in the good way though.

How can you go wrong with gold Phils on a gold bike?

Does anyone make gold spokes/rims/tape?

You wouldn't want to make the entire spoke out of gold unless you were interested in a very very droopy unrideable wheel. Gold's about like lead that way. What you'd want to do is take ordinary steel spokes and electroplate. Since the resulting surface is only a few microns thick, you could probably stretch those teeth a long ways.

Go for it, dude!

gold pokes = not that hard to make. my friend made a wheelset with gold spokes in less than an hour. he used a gold marker.

Is everyone forgetting the campy gold cranks/rings? There's a Gan Well at an LBS near my house with a full NJS gold outfit. If I was a 5'8" keirin racer, I would totally buy it. Then again, if I was a 5'8" keirin racer, I would get all of the ladies.

What we need now, clearly, is gold-plated pie tins.

Nothing but the best for my pie.

Budget Cycles in Eagle Rock. They're on Colorado Blvd, right at the 2 freeway, on the border between Glendale and Eagle Rock. It's pretty pricey, if I remember correctly, but holy hot damn is it sweet.
