The listing for this bike states "Vintage FREE-SPIRIT Single Speed (54cm) - $120"

What do you think?

Thanks

I wouldn't pay $120. Its a crappy bike, beautifully presented and super clean.

For not much more, you can get a brand new SS, with modern wheels, light weight, in any color and size you want.

Or for that price, you can get a nice vintage 3 speed, which IMHO, is more useful and desirable. Free Spirit = Sears house brand. Some of the Free Spirit 3 speeds were made in Austria, and are pretty decent.

+1. I agree with Bill. I see those at thrift stores all the time for $40 or less and pass them up...

Get a new one from Nashbar .. when they have a special promotional deal...free shipping or 10-20% off. Redoing a bike like this is not a big deal. Let some other guy spend $120 for a $50 bike.
