Some have said doping is waning after watching this Tour. This could be due to the biological passport, but there are a few other things that don't hurt either.

The 110k Alpe d'Huez stage over a Cat 1 and two HCs is plenty of racing, and it was easily the most exciting stage in my opinion. The riders got to go faster, attack more, it was more exciting to watch, and we got to see the WHOLE stage on TV. Where is the drawback?

On the other end of the spectrum was the three consecutive mountain stages at this year's Giro, totaling over 500k of non-stop categorized climbs, and 50,000 feet of climbing. They didn't even show the first hour or two of each stage on TV, but I'm sure nothing happened.

Over 300 miles of bicycle racing in less than 72 hours with 50,000 feet of climbing? And they're not supposed to take drugs?!? What's the point?
