Fifty Plus (50+) - Anyone see riders doing this on TdF?

Pointing out road hazards?
I think I saw Andy S motioning a median in the road today that the riders went around both sides of--but other than that I don't recall seeing anyone else doing it. At least someone could have pointed out the barbed wire fence to Hoogerland.

I think the Barbed wire was one of those Offroad incidents and even trees have a habit of jumping onto the trail offroad.
Seen plenty of Hand signals to other riders this year but my first experience with riders pointing out hazards was on a group ride and I could not get them. Th rider in front stuck his right arm out and veered left. I was still waiting for him to turn right when I hit the manhole cover.

Yes, they do it all the time. Usually it's just a flick of the wrist so you wouldn't see it unless you were watching closely.
I saw several very subtle hand gestures being used like the one Andy S. did. Although his seemed more animated or bigger than most of the ones I saw. The first one I remember seeing this year was one by George Hincapie to warn BMC riders behind him to move toward their left away from some very rough road.
