i was jus wonderin if it is possible to fit a bmx with a rear disc brake, if it is possible wat parts would i hav to chage n stuff like that??

You'd need disc specific mounts on the frame (and forks if you wanted front too), disc calipers, the actual discs themselves, disc hubs, wheels that were made to withstand the braking pressures of discs, and if you were going hydraulic, hose, oil and new levers.

its pretty much not gonna happen. Brian lopes had a disc set up on his 04 race bike... it also had gears 9 to be exact.

It is completely possible. I was looking into it a while ago. I'll find the thread and post a link to it.

It will work but it will be very exspensive. Good luck and if you do it let me know how it comes out.

yeah it possible if you for some reason bought a frame with disc mounts, a rear wheel with a disc hub the disc its self and a wheel (and frame for that matter) that can withstand the stopping power generated by a disc.

Atomic makes an adaptor for F/f hubs. So you don't need a new frame.

A flip flop hub. That means both sides of the hub are threaded and you use a freewheel that can be attached to either side.

get a floating disc mount, like one for a mountain bike.

honestly nobody actually cares, the guy was just interested in it. There is a reason why bmx bikes with discs never took off, its a stupid idea, its just kind of a novelty to us.

You can get more than enough stopping power with normal (linear-pull, U) brakes and chrome rims, it's lighter to use normal brakes, and it's more cost effective; therefore, it's pointless to get disc brakes on a BMX bike.

What people want and what people buy are intirely different. I could want a gold plated frame, but its way for expencive, and a normal cro mo frame would preform better. So i would get a cro mo frame.
