ok so my friend gave me a wheel set. there the stolen revolver rims wit just the stock hubs that go on there and there on danscomp. but i spun it in my hands and it spun fine. put it on and tightened the chain. not even very tight either. i could pedal backwards but when i went to pedal forwards, forget it. i wasnt going anywhere unless i pushed on the pedal hard enough to break the chain. so i untightened the nuts. and it spun fine. and i tightened them and it wouldnt spin. so whenever my axel nuts are tighten the wheel wont spin forwared. help anyone??
When you tighten the axle nuts, they might be tightening the bearings too tight is the easiest explanation, if nothing else is wrong. Use a open end crescent wrench to maintain the tightness on the bearings. You might even need to get chain tensioners for both sides of the rear dropouts, so you can do the job easier and right the first time. I had to do that with the SS/FG bike I had.

Or, it might be driving for the opposite side of where you have it. A wheel will spin no matter what in your hands, but a drive system changes that.
