Looks like the front rim on my Dback Wildwood Classic is slightly out of whack. Felt like something was off while riding, stopped, lifted each end of the bike, and rotated tires. The front rim is rubbing again the caliper/brake in certain spots. This has caused the rim to scratch up. The bike is a week old. Should I get D-Sports to replace the rim and tire with a new one? It looks bad! I guess this is what you get when you buy from a large dep't store!

If it did come from a department store just take it back with the receipt and demand a total bike replacement or money back.

Sounds like the rim needs to be trued. Take it to a bike shop.

If you take the bike back to a department store for a replacement wheel (or replacement bike) the replacement is likely to be out of true like your current wheel. If you like the bike, your best bet is to take the bike to a bike shop and have the wheels trued. It should cost you $20 or less. If you are worried about the scratches on your wheel because of the rim rubbing against the brake, you should know that the marks will not be noticeable for long due to normal brake usage.

If you take it to a bike shop its going to cost you money, on a week old bike from a dep't store just get the whole thing replaced at no cost to you.

I'm with him ^^^^^ and before you take / agree with the replacement squeeze the spokes to see if there's any movement. If so, just get them to fix them up, or at least get a discount. She'll be right mate (^.^)b

Thanks for your replies. I did talk to the manufacture about this as well.
