Bicycle Mechanics - Worth while replacing Freehub Body?

I got a new set of reynolds assaults for my bike that came with a campy free hub body. I have a CAAD10 that has the stock RS10 rims with a SRAM Rival Gruppo. Is it worthwhile swapping out the freehub on my RS10's or should I just upgrade while I'm at it?

Any free hub body recommendations under $150?

btw I do want to keep the PG-1070 cassette.

Confused with your question, the Reynolds Assults are Campag, but you have a Cannondale CAAD 10, which is stock SRAM with Shimano RS10's

Are the RS10's faulty? does the hub need a new freehub?

If you need a new freehub body for the RS10's the only option is to use a Shimano one.

SRAM / Shimano cassettes only fit SRAM / Shimano freehubs, Campagnolo only fits Campagnolo.

That's what I want to do, sorry if I wasn't clear. I didn't know if Reynolds Hubs will need a specific Free Hub Body to swap from campy to shimano.

Way simpler option, if you can find a full cassette of separate cogs: respace your Campy cassette to Shimano specs.

An even simpler option is to use a Campy cassette on the Campy freehub body and make it compatible with the SRAM shifters and derailleur with a Jtek shiftmate.

The OP has never said he has a Campagnolo cassette, just the Reynolds wheels with a Campagnolo freehub, **********'s idea of changing the freehub seems simplest, especially as the OP has stated that he wants to use his PG-1070 cassette, which is a SRAM cassette.

Right, we understand that. What I'm recommending is that he buy a Campy cassette with the same gear range and use a Shiftmate to get the SRAM stuff to work with it. A Veloce cassette is pretty reasonably priced and a Shiftmate is $40. Together they have got to be less costly than a replacement freehub body.

But are a _lot_ bigger hassle when you want to install a spare wheel running a Shimano/SRAM spaced cassette.

I found a reynolds shimano hub body for $50, I think I'll swap it and buy a new cassette so I can have a set of beater wheels and nice riding wheels. Thanks for your help guys and bearing with my lack of bike maintenance skills. I actually signed up for a course on bike building / tuning / rim truing so hopefully that'll be a great learning experience for me.

There are a number of companies offering ready made "crossover" cassettes, ie. with Shimano splines but made for Campy shifters, or vice versa. That would be the most cost effective way to make this wheel work for you.
