So I have a 60/70's gitane tandem, if i just run 2 triple cranks and use the granny gear as the timing chain what would happen? Forgive me if this is a stupid question I'm kinda a stupid guy :innocent:

if there is enough room on the inside or outside you chainring to the stokers set and use a shorter or longer BB axle up front to match up a single chainring crank.

For sure take the extra chainrings off the front as spares for the rear.

take a look at: http://www.bikexprt.com/bicycle/tancrank.htm
