I just want to asked a question how will you defeat lactic acid, when you have been riding your bike for a very long period of hours.
I know I can defeat the build up of lactic acid when it attack my body, can you share yours, then I will share mine, oh never mind I might as well share it with you, When I have been riding my bike and I know that the lactic acid attack is about to set in, Guest what I just pop in a couple of "Tums" , which I bought from the local variety store, and it sure does the work, so now tell me how you will defeat the attacked of Lactic acid in your system?

I haven't rode for a long time but I can understand the problem as I had it when running.
Something with bread...it will kicks its rear! This may sound silly but a banna helps me also.
Hope that helps!
Take care!

The first thing generally do is gradually work up to top pace when I start the ride. This seems to have an effect later on. Another thing I try to do (but don't always remember to) is stretch when I refill my water bottles (something that one must do quite often in our climate, particularly in Summer).
