I bought one of these about 6 months ago ...the version i got was $129 and made for 1000 watt / 48 volt brushless setup .

It worked fine for a while...and it would properly cutoff at around 42-44 volts....now the damn thing is cutting off power at 50-52 volts....ive only got about 7 rides on it and my battery only has 15 full charges......

anyone ever heard of this happening ? any way I can diagnose it or fix it ? I do think his controllers can be programmed , but you need some type of USB connector for the controller and then you must know how to plug in the parameters. Ive never done it , so its all new to me.

You are better off asking this question on ES, since many posters there have this controller. Ask the question directly of Lyen.

Lyen would be the guy to contact for sure, his support is usually very good..

However, the value would not change, a 48v lvc ( low voltage cutoff ) would be aprox 40~44 v , and can usually be adjusted with a resistor value on the circuit board or using the USB programmer thing.

I'd suggest checking the battery, do you have a display on the bike to show you voltage while under load ( while the motor is drawing power ) ?

Often times the voltage you get while the battery is at rest is not the same as the voltage while in use.
