Cyclocross - I thought x-fire was ridley's race frame

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

when looking at geometries of the ridley frames to fit my long legs/short torso, i notice something...

the x-bow, the 'entry level' bike, in a 58cm size has a shorter head tube, shorter wheelbase and longer top tube than the x-fire. Same ST/HT angles

X-bow
SIZE ST TT HT HTA STA CS BBD WB SO
58 580 620 575 183 73 72 425 61 1035 890
60 600 640 585 203 73 72 425 61 1045 910

XFIRE
58 580 620 575 205 73 72 425 61 1050 910

NOW, i don't claim to know all about geometries, so someone set me straight... I was kind of hoping for the longer HT on the 'entry level' bike... but the xfire seems to fit my needs better, even with the huge price
