Hey all-
I just buttered up this classic Cannondale. The specs are:
Model SR500 - Criterium 3.0 aluminum racing frame
Original Suntour Edge components - Nitto Stem and aluminum drop bars
All the consumable parts have been replaced - Upgraded saddle
I have some before and after pics for ya.

are you measuring to the top of the seat tube? I think they only measure to the center of the ST/TT junction but I could be (and likely I am) wrong. I also think the size is in the serial number.
it looks nice, and these sometimes sell for a decent amount. unfortunately this is not the, IMHO, the nicer of the two different ones.

Thanks for the look and the tip, BG. The bike is big - that's how I size 'em :)

Top O' the Seat Tube, BG. That one looks like a 62.

Close- by that measurement, it's about 64. I bought it from the original owner in "left in my backyard" condition, full of chips in the paint. My restore ran over budget, but I wanted everything on there to be new. I coulda saved about a thousand bucks putting old crusty replaceables on there.
A thousand bucks?
Could have found a complete low mileage Black Lightning for less than that.
However, I'm sure they would have been scarce the moment you started looking :p

Haha, I was exaggerating about the cost of replacement stuff. I spent around $170 for a nice vintage wheelset, tires, tubes, chain, , cassette, seat, cables + housing, and grip tape. Struggled to keep it at a good price point, and I ended up selling it to someone who was looking to go out riding a gargantuan frame, who would benefit from the full service and restore that I labored over.
