I'm Tyler. I've been riding a few years now just to commute to and from work/school and in my free time for fun and exercise. I'm actually getting ready to buy a new rig, as I got hit by a pickup a few weeks ago and it totaled my bike (1980's takara 3-speed). I'm hoping the gurus on this site can help me make my decision. The seller said this is a 70's Nishiki 59cm. He built it into a single speed from spare parts. I'm having him put drop bars on it for me before I come check it out. I'd jump on this in a second, except I'm honestly not too knowledgeable about what to look for in a used bike, and my last one took a major crap on me after that accident.

I understand that these are NOT high-quality bikes, but they seem to be able to fit my needs. I need to keep it WAY cheap, but still have something rideable to get me around town.
Any opinions?
