How do you guys manage to bare cold wind in your eyes during cool temps. Today it was 50 around here, I went for a ride. There was virtually no wind, only breeze from the ride. I wear regular glasses and they are not too protective. My eyes just kept tearing and I even got some kind of small inflammation under my left eye, which I contribute to the wind factor. Do I need to get a pair of cycling glasses, do they make a difference?

A good pair of non-fogging wrap around glasses or goggles should take care of that. If you go with ski goggles make sure they are double paned so they wont fog. There are also anti-fog solutions you can spray on and wipe off that work pretty good.

I wear regular glasses too, and the wind started bugging me early in the autumn just from going downhill and sprinting. I got a pair of cycling glasses and it made a huge difference (they have the Rx insert).

But I have a feeling that when it gets down to around 20 I'll be wanting some goggles.

yeah, 20, i don’t think I'll be riding then, ski goggles or no goggles. Which pair did you get ,may i ask? I also need Rx, that's the only reason i didn't get any cycling glasses yet.

I got a pair from performance, and it's their brand. I don't see a name on them anywhere, though, so I'm not sure exactly what kind it is. Anyway, it has three lenses with it (grey, orange, and clear). I went to Lens Crafters to get the Rx lenses made. THEY were very expensive. Maybe $120? They are very light, but whoo were they expensive. Maybe Performance can make the lenses cheaper.

If You can stand the first 15 minutes it will slowly stop, seems like the eyes get used to it. But don´t ignore an inflammation.
