Cyclocross - FINALLY found my new CX bike for the year!!!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Finally, my search is over. Won a ridley crossbow frame (too poor for x-fire/night). Going to give Shimergo a try with campy hubbub conversion to 105 RD 11-28 cassette with 40t chainring. Velocity tubulars with some of the $35 vittoria tubulars. Jagwire race cable set (states that is campy compatible).
Should be built up for around $900 USD. There is a site (realcyclist?) selling Tiagra model for 899, but I will be a bit lighter, with tubular wheelset. Should be a decent cx machine

Do tell how you won the frame. Come on, share your secret...

Why not use a Shiftmate from Jtek?

My guess is eBay.

yes, ebay.
I am going to try the hubbub first because it is free, i am not opposed to Jtek, but seems like adding additional hardware (especially something that needs to spin a pulley, in a mud prone bike and position on the bike is only asking for trouble. I may just get campy spacers at that point

That's a very minimalist build. ;)

well, the shifters and tubulars are still on the way from ribble... I didn't know that it was going to come with a seatpost, so anyone looking for a 31.6 seatpost, let me know :)
