The el tour de tucson is tomorrow. It will be my first 'race'. yes i know it's not a race, it's a tour.
anyway, asside from a lot of pasta tonight and a light pasta meal tomorrow morning, I'm wondering what I should eat. Should it be whole grain, etc.. Protein before tomorrow morning. Also, during the race I'm planning on bringing 4 cliff bars and 10 gel shots. Is this exessive? Oh, I'm also trying to do it in under 6 hours, so wish me luck ; )
protein and carbs, pasta, omlette or eggs, rice cereal, anything energy related.

Im guessing this is a century. from what i've heard eating pasta the night before a race does nothing really. you need to load up several days in advance and also hydrate like a fish. but then again, im not a doctor. :S
that does sound excessive for energy bars...i've done centuries on less, but i probably depleted some reserves because of that. :(
but good luck with it man :D
