Touring - Advice Needed

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hello. I am going to be doing some light touring on the Blue Ridge Parkway on my 1972 Raleigh Super Course. I'd like some fenders and racks. What fenders and racks would be suggested? I am thinking of the SKS Longboards fender-wise. Thoughts? Which rack(s) should I get? If I only got a front or rear, which is preferable? Does it change if I will also commute and or do grocery getting? Thanks.

What is in the near by shops? a critique of the whole universe of stuff available
around the world. .. is rather lengthy.
Tubus is a very nice steel tubular rack , they offer several models ,
have brazed on fittings on your frame?,
or this a center brake bolt mount options? it is simple to add a rack mount
under the nut on a brake bolt..

The fork has lower mounting holes as does the lower rear of the frame. That's one of the allures of the older bikes. :thumb:

Awesome. That's what color mine used to be too! I think they came in that and a coffee brown.
