General Cycling Discussion - Saddle sore

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I've been off my bike for three weeks due to a saddle sore that is clearing up/getting better. It was not a usual saddle "boil" but rather a chunk of cartilage-like stuff about 5 cm by 3 cm by 1 cm thick that just grew out of nowhere and is now slowly getting much smaller/better. This occurred right between by right sit-bone and saddle. The skin was never broken and not even reddened. Does anyone have an idea what the heck this thing is and how to treat?
Thank-you, Bill

I've no idea, maybe a trip to the Doctor would be wise.
Sounds more like an inflamed skin tag. See the Dr.

Pics?
JUST KIDDING!
I'll join the consensus and suggest having a medical professional examine the problem.
