Thanks to this forum, I purchased a Redline Raid for my, now 7yo, daughter 1.5 years ago. She's grown 5" since then (she's 53" tall!) and seems to have outgrown this bike. The seatpost on the Raid is now even with the top of the handlebars. Has she outgrown it?

We have all appreciated the quality of this bike. She rides pretty rough and loves to go ridiculously fast (frightening). We also have a BMX track in town and I wouldn't mind getting her involved-she needs a bit of healthy risk and adrenaline rush. So, what bike would be a good next bike (if she needs one)?

We have a Redline dealer in town-so access to those is local.

I guess I mean the top of the seat, not the seatpost. Sorry.

I [5'9"] ride a Folding Bike with small wheels , but it would not hold up to BMX racing.

AFAIK , actual Racing is all out of the saddle, and so the height of the seat is not important,
in-fact at a decent JRA pedaling height, it's in the way..

N+1 the Race bike , and the Transportation bike. set them up individually .
406 wheels seem to be most common, though there have been other
lighter thinner wheels , even sew-up tires made for competitive BMX racing.

Red line also makes a 20" http://www.redlinebicycles.com/bikes/cyclocross/2011-conquest-20
and a 24" wheel Cyclocross style bike http://www.redlinebicycles.com/bikes/cyclocross/2011-conquest-24

another fun adrenalin inducing cycle sport , even "adults" have fun doing.
